In July 2013, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council awarded a three-year $56,000 grant to Dr. David McGrane for an independent research initiative to study contemporary social democracy in Canada. The study, entitled the Canadian Social Democracy Study (CSDS), has now been concluded. The book coming out of this project entitled The New NDP: Moderation, Modernization, and Political Marketing has now been published. One of the outcomes of the CSDS was the creation of a network of academics studying the NDP. This website will remain available to the public to showcase the blogs and research of these academics and to provide information regarding the study. However, it will no longer be updated.
